Hi there!! My name is Liv42day. I’m 32 years old I’ll be 33 in March. I have a wonderful and caring husband, 3 sweet kids, a cat and a dog. I have a great family and love them all. We just recently bought our first home and as I look at my life right now . . . I can’t help but feel blessed. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, web page design, photography and scrapbooking. I also enjoy watching TV in the evenings before I go to work. (I work 3rd shift) My favorite shows right now are Biggest Loser, House, and The Office. More »
I’m your typical weight loss roller coaster rider. I have the drive and determination to get myself very close to my goal weight but, I have the unfortunate ability to let stress and life in general steal my resolve and trick me into gaining it all back again. It’s the same ole’ song and dance every time . . . lose the weight, have a baby, back up to 200 + pounds. Lose the weight, have a back surgery, back up I go again.
I’m not sure why this is, why I can’t maintain my weight once I’ve lost it. I’m also not sure why it takes me so long to recognize the pattern and stop gaining weight. This time around, a leg surgery is what derailed me. The crazy thing is at that time I was doing so well. I was 15 to 20 pounds away from my goal weight; I had just completed a 5k race and didn’t come in last. I was on a roll. But, the surgery did not go well, I was in more pain than I had expected and it took longer to heal then they had prepared me for. By the time I felt well enough to exercise and run . . . I was outta that routine and outta shape. That was July 2008. Since then I have managed to go from the 130’s back up to near 190. In only about 5 months!
My goal now is to once again lose the weight and this time, keep it off once and for all. I need to do this because as I approach the 200 pound mark, my body really starts to have adverse reactions to the weight. My back starts to bother me and I get frequent Charley horses. I have a skin condition called Rosacea and that flares up quiet a bit as well when my weight is out-of-control.
I have so many reasons to lose the weight yet it is so very hard to just do it! I’m really tired of the weight roller coaster. Life is to short for me to spend it being a victim to the alluring power of sugar. It’s time to get healthy!!
